Schema Privacy Policy
Effective: October 6, 2026
Cosmografic ("we") respects the privacy of everyone who uses the Schema app (the "app"). This policy explains what information the app handles.
Information we collect
We do not collect personal information. The app has no accounts or sign-in, uses no advertising, analytics, or tracking tools, and does not send information to our servers.
Information stored on your device
Everything you create in the app — PDFs, annotations, memos, recordings, and transcripts — is stored only on your Mac or in a folder you choose.
If you choose iCloud Drive as the location, those files are stored and synced under Apple’s iCloud terms and privacy policy.
Microphone and speech recognition
The microphone is used only while you are recording, and recordings are saved on your device.
Transcription uses Apple’s speech recognition on your Mac. On Macs or languages that do not support on-device recognition, audio may be sent to Apple for recognition, and Apple’s privacy policy applies.
Apple Intelligence
PDF summaries, refined transcripts, and questions are processed on your Mac by Apple Intelligence’s on-device model.
Wikipedia search
When you ask Apple Intelligence a question, the app may send a search term to Wikipedia (Wikimedia Foundation) to find related articles. Only the search term is sent, and the Wikimedia Foundation’s privacy policy applies.
Links you add
The Hyperlink button opens the address you entered in your default web browser.
Children’s privacy
The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will post the changes and the new effective date on this page.
